A copyright is the legal right, given to the original person or assigned to someone else to print, publish, perform, film, or record literary, artistic, or musical material. They are also authorized to give permission for others to do so as well.

Plagiarism is taking someone  else's work and passing it off as your own.                   

What is fair use?        

   Fair use is a specific portion of copyright law that allows brief pieces of copy written material to be used for the purpose of critic, reporting, teaching, and research. This does not require the permissions of the original copywriters.
